We have learned ¡°Macbeth¡±,¡±Romeo & Juliet¡± and ¡°Hamlet¡± before, these three novels are all included in Shakespeare¡¯s tragedy works. This time, I choose ¡°Othello¡±, another Shakespeare¡¯s tragedy works, to compare with one of the those three I mentioned above, ¡°Romeo & Juliet¡±.
OTHELLO

1. Othello: the Moor of Venice, a black military man acclaimed for his conquest. ... Desdemona: Othello¡¯s wife, the beautiful daughter of a government official. ... Iago: Othello¡¯s devious ensign. ... Cassio: Othello¡¯s devoted lieutenant. ...
ROMEO & JULIET
* Principle Characters
1. Romeo: Son of the house of Montague. ... Juliet: Daughter of the Capulet household. ... Benvolio: Romeo¡¯s cousin. ... Mercutio: Romeo¡¯s friend. ... Tybalt: Juliet¡¯s cousin. ...
The two lists above is the the principle characters, type of the work and the setting of the story of ¡°Othelle¡± and ¡°Romeo & Juliet¡±. ... Romeo and Juliet die after one night of passionate lovemaking. ... Not like Romeo and Juliet, Othello and Desdemona are divided in the course of the play, the casuality of Iago¡¯s plan to revenge Cassio¡¯s promotion.
Like Romeo and Juliet, Othello dies upon a kiss, but he dedicates his suicide to the woman he has just murdered. ... The story of Desdemona and Othello¡¯s love is perhaps even more cruel and disturbing in that the hand of one of the lovers is twisted to become the agent of the other¡¯s death.
