persuasion speech

TITLE: The Cloning of Human Organs GENERAL PURPOSE: To persuade SPECIFIC PURPOSE: I want my audience to support the idea of human organ cloning. CENTRAL IDEA: I want to talk about some of the problems people have with cloning and why they believe what they do and then give an ethical solution to make them promote the idea of the cloning of human organs. INTRODUCTION I. Attention Getter: Have you ever wanted to save a life? II. Credibility Statement: My grandma passed away a few years back because of heart valve failure. Apparently she was “too old” to receive a transplant but if there would have been cloning of organs, my grandma may have lived longer. III. Thesis: Human organ cloning should be used on a wide scale because it is ethical in that it does not promote the killing or injuring of human life.
