Mindwalk
"Mindwalk" is a powerful movie whose core theme of interconnectedness creates a turning point for all who view it; a theme critically important to Educational Systems Designers (ESD) or agents of change. "We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results." (Herman Melville) The commonality among the three main characters is that all have temporarily removed themselves from life's work to reflect and assess their individual experiences. These experiences ultimately prove to have interconnecting threads and challenges. This core theme of interconnectedness is symbolically evidenced throughout the film's entirety. It serves as a reminder to Educational Systems Designers of the necessity of spending time time in reflection and analysis of prior experiences before we can clearly envision future potentials in initiating any form of change. Jack, the "Conservative Democrat" Politician, constrained by his constituency, debates the best means to be of service in order to provide them with what they want.
