1. What is Neo searching for? Neo is searching for the answer to a question he does not yet know but senses, the very same ‘question’ that is searching for him. According to Trinity, he is searching for Morpheus, the guide who might help him find the question to why his world is not quite right. According to Morpheus, Neo is searching for an answer, the truth, to this question that drives him. ‘It’ will find him if he wants ‘it’ too. The Matrix parallels our own search for truth in life and our never-ending quest for understanding if there really is a greater being above (within or throughout) us. Morpheus says that Neo is searching for the answer to his feelings that things are not quite right in his reality. It is a feeling that follows him and that he cannot shake because he is conscious that he was meant for something greater. 2. What are we slaves to?
