Propaganda is the systematic manipulation of public opinion. The colonists used propaganda in many different shapes and forms during the Revolutionary War to help gain the support from their fellow countrymen, and to become victorious in the war. Propaganda was written in books and pamphlets, it was demonstrated through speeches and in many other different materials and by many different types of people. One extremely interesting, and somewhat hidden, example of how propaganda was used in the Revolutionary War is demonstrated through an engraving that Paul Revere did depicting the Boston Massacre. ...
