In his article Leadership: Is not for the faint of heart, the author, Mark Ernsberger states that “Leadership is not about the leader. Leadership also includes those who are led. It is the followers who place one of their own in a position of leadership, even if they do so only by agreeing to follow. ... 7) It can be said then that leadership is the ability to make things happen by encouraging and channeling the contribution of others, taking a stand on and addressing important issues, and acting as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement.
