The streets were busy with car after car intertwined with buses and taxis driving over the cobblestone roads of Georgetown, Virginia. Noises included the sounds of engines, horns, people talking and car radios. Couples and individuals were relaxing in the grass area of the famous Dupont Circle. A couple cars were being driven by black drivers who were transporting a variety of musical instruments to a location obviously previously agreed upon at the end of Massachusetts St. at Dupont Circle. Within no time, 16 men of varying ages were gathered holding all sort of musical instruments to include slide trombones, saxophones, tubas, tambourine’s, a snare drum and a base drum.
