Designs Bauhaus The Bauhaus began with a perfect definition: "The building of the future," it was to combine all the arts in ideal unity. The founder of Bauhaus was Walter Gropius. He saw the need to develop new teaching methods and was convinced that the base of art was to be found in handcraft, "the school will gradually turn into a workshop". Artists and craftsmen directed classes and production together at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The Bauhaus workshops produced prototypes for mass production: from a single lamp to a complete dwelling. Memphis The Memphis group included of Italian designers and architects who created a series of highly important products in the 1980's.
