Hispanic Immigration
Immigration has been a part of American society since its creation. ... Most everyone in America got here by immigration. As long as immigration has been around in the United States there has been this feeling of nativism. ... A major current social issue in the United States today is the increasing number of Hispanic peoples immigration into “our” country.
Hispanic peoples have been coming into the territories of the United States ever since the first Spanish colonies were established in Central America. After the United States took over Texas from Mexico this was the first influx of Hispanics into the United States over 80,000 people were granted citizen ships (World Book) Later in the 1900’s the majority of Hispanic countries economies were on the decline this brought a new age of Hispanics into our country.
