Baseball Phrases “Three strikes and your out” a phrase from Americas past time that takes us back to child hood failure. This phrase has now been carried in to adult hood for many. Law makers have instated a law that for three felony convictions the punishment is life time imprisonment. This law is unfair in that it does not have any clauses for each individual situation. The effects of the law are irreversible there is no chance of parole. The law is causing the prison system to be come big business. The law makers have gone too far in the creation of a law that does not look out for the best interest of our society as a whole. The law is to concrete it has no clauses for each individual case it is as clear to see as black and white there is no gray area. By grey area there should be clauses in place that based on the offense the punishment isn’t as harsh. This law really hits those people that really didn’t have a very trouble free young adulthood. For example a young man could have seen some trouble with the law during his young adulthood years had been convicted of two felonies and served his time repaying his debt to society. Then after choosing a different life for himself he settles down with his wife and there three children.
