Day in and day out people are constantly making decisions. These decisions vary from what to wear to who we move in with. Before we make the decision to share living arrangements with others we should be sure to closely examine the relationship, to not do so can ruin an otherwise good friendship. When it came time to move out of my parents house, I immediately began thinking of my closest friends as possible candidates for roommates. The first on my list was my best friend Latoya, and then three of my old co-workers. The five of us were always together anyways, and they were looking to move out as well. I reminisced about the great times we had and I decided the five of us would be great roommates. We set the date for graduation night and everyone moved in. About two days into living at our new house, one of the roommates, Dan, was fired from his job. After the monthly inventory was completed, his employer decided to review old security footage to investigate the store’s high product loss. As a result of reviewing the footage, he was terminated. This left Dan without a job and with out income. Looking back , this was just a warning sign for what was to come. Kyle now worked at a bottling company and worked late shifts much to his dismay. We often had parties at our house, and he was usually the last to arrive due to his work schedule. One night Kyle said he was going to try to get off a little early so he could party with us. When I asked how he was going to mange that, he said, “I don’t know I’ll say I hurt my hand or something.” As planned out as it seems, he swears he really hurt his hand that night at work. And as a result he called in everyday for the next two months. His doctor didn’t think he needed that much time off, and wouldn’t call in for him. So everyday he would call in with a different excuse. Not to say he didn’t really hurt his hand, but if it was as bad as he said the doctor would have wrote him a note.
