As far back as I can remember, we have been friends. You were the first person that I ever talked to my first day in kindergarten. Since then, we have been inseparable. It seemed as though there was some sort of divine intervention keeping us together as well. I remember walking into high school the first day, and without even setting it up or planning for it, getting five of our six classes together. As we went through high school, we did almost everything together. Any time one of us would do or try something new, the other was right behind to follow. This went for the good as well as the bad, as I am sure you can recall on several occasions. Even our parents knew how close we were. On more than one occasion when I wanted to go out and my mom would be skeptical, I would use the excuse “But mom, Mike is going!” This continued throughout the four years of high school, all the way up to graduation. You bought a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, and it was not long afterwards before I owned one as well. There was also the time that we managed to get into a fight in middle school. At the time of this occurrence, we really didn’t realize the ramifications of our actions, as we would get into confrontations all the time.
