On June 29, 1992 the Supreme Court approved the
Regulations that Pennsylvania authorizes for abortion clients. When
Pennsylvania put these regulations on clients it was seen as unfair and
these regulations were being used as techniques to change a woman’s
mind from choosing abortion. ...
Do these regulations and protests stop a woman from making a
fair abortion choice? ... Abortion is a choice and if these
regulations and “pushy” protesters scare women, this choice is
obliterated.
According to an editorial from the “Richmond Times-Dispatch” released on June 30, 1992, in Richmond, Virginia, it says the regulations in Pennsylvania are:
A 24-hour waiting period between the time a woman seeks an abortion and the time she receives one,
Parental consent and spousal notification;
Clinics are now required to provide information on all abortion alternatives to clients and also provide information on the health risks it poses to the client.
