... Radiology provided me with the intellectual stimulation that I enjoyed during my first two years of medical school. My interest in radiology began during the second year of medical school, where I found the combination of anatomy and pathology fascinating. During my basic science training, I had early opportunities to work with private practice radiologists and received a first hand view into the day-to-day activities of radiology. My interest in radiology only grew stronger after this interaction. I entered my third year clerkships with an open mind, but as I progressed from one rotation to the next, I could not help being attracted towards radiology. ... As technology advances, the importance of radiology will continue to grow for an expanding range of medical conditions.
