Trusting strangers in a dating situation can be very dangerous. People do not know what can happen when they meet new people. How are you to determine whether you can trust this person or not? At first, everything appears to be nice and pretty because we do not have the slightest idea where these people came from or what they do. ... She offers to give the man a ride home, but she does not know what she might be getting herself into. With the four rape elements we are to determine whether Rusk has committed rape or not. ... Because Pat did not take the initiative and try to honk the horn, scream, or even try to run away are the reasons why Rusk is not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (Wilner 236). ... Secondly, in Pats testimony she had stated that she was “scared” (Wilner 237). ... How come Pat did not? She says she was scared, but shows no resistance of not wanting to get out of the car. ... For this case to be considered Rape the victim must come up with a reasonable apprehension, as I understand the law, of something real; her fear must be not imaginary but great.
