You Know before the movie begins what happens. You know that the Titanic will sail and sink. The movie opens with real pictures of the Titanic obtained during an expedition of an explorer, Brock Lovett, who is in search of “the heart of the ocean,” a rare diamond, but instead of the diamond he finds a picture. ... She visits Lovett and shares her memories of Titanic.
Her story of Titanic involves a young woman named Rose Bukater who is sailing to what she sees as a slave ship for her. ... Jack Dawson, a low class boy from steerage, saves her from jumping. Jack is then invited to join Rose and her family for dinner in the high class dinning room. ... The captain of Titanic is talking with Andrew, the ships designer, and tells him that he wants to beat the ships arrival date. ... The Titanic is fast enough to break the speed record but is to massive to turn out of the way of iceberg at high speeds. Of course, there is an iceberg in its path and Titanic runs into it. ...
While the lower class people are begging for their life the upper class are more concerned with how they will look. ... Since there are not enough lifeboats for everyone the upper class survive and the lower class (about 1500 people) sink into the freezing water with the ship and die.
