The Dawn of Human Culture
For decades, society has been divided on the argument of whether or not the theory of human evolution is an accurate account of the history of the human species or whether the biblical account of the creation of mankind overrides all scientific research and discovery on the matter. ... As I began reading Richard Klein’s explanation of human culture and it’s origins, the controversy of religion and evolution came into mind, yet with such compelling evidence as to the discovery of our ancestor’s bones and the tools and culture they developed, it’s hard to keep a religious perspective even with so many questions remaining unanswered as to how we came to exist in the first place. ... By looking at physical features and each skeleton on the timeline, scientists have been able to see how human beings have devoloped as a species over a long period of time. ... As I read further into Klein’s interpretation of human’s cultural ancestry, I began to piece together why so many people might still ignore what seems to be evolutionary fact. ...
Another set of discoveries that have helped prove the theory of human evolution has been that of artifacts created by earlier human beings. If one looks at weapons dating back a near a million years ago, five hundred thousand years ago, and a thousand years ago, one can see how the human mind has adapted and grown into more mature entities.
