Odysseus’ character is different because he is flawed, making him a believable hero. Superman helps all the damsels in distress and appears to not have any personality flaws. ... He had no flaws. ... Due to his holy nature the common man can not identify with Jesus’ perfection, therefore, it is hard to create a common ground. Contrastingly, Odysseus is just an ordinary man, who did heroic acts, such as defeating the Trojans, outwitting Polyphemus, escaping Charybdis and Scylla, and creating a good reputation for his family.
