Feste, the clown, plays an important part in the Shakespeare’s play Twelfth Night. ... Feste is one who never takes sides in any situation of the play; he merely goes along with the situations by asking questions, and by Feste asking the questions he is able to reveal the true identity of several of the characters.
Feste, Olivia’s servant, has a sort of bickering relationship with Olivia; it is the sort of relationship a couple would have. By having this relationship with Olivia, Feste is able to reveal to Olivia how unwarranted her mourning for her brother is becoming.
