Many children keep their abuse a secret thinking they have done the wrong when in reality they are the victims. ‘A Child Called It’ by Dave Pelzer was an inspirational story of a young boys survival of abuse. In the beginning Dave felt safe and secure with his mother. He believed that he was living a perfect life. He loved his mother the way any young boy loved his mother. She was his savior he described her to be almost angelic. But then she began to change and so did their relationship. She went from caring and nurturing to wicked and cruel. His mother was as different as night and day. He began to fear her and despise her yet; he still managed to lover her and would have forgiven her if she had only loved him.
