The SULC is a democratic socialist organization, and to this end its objectives shall be:
(a) To propagate socialist ideas and promote debate about socialism and issues of social justice at The University of Sydney.

(a) Membership shall be open to students and staff of The University of Sydney who accept the above objectives, agree to abide by this constitution and the decisions of the Club in GM and who are not:
[i] members of a political party or an affiliate of a political party other than the ALP.
[ii] members of the Sydney University Liberal Club
[iii] members of Left Alliance
[iv] members of the Non Aligned Left
(b) Upon payment of the annual subscription, completion of the application form (outlined in schedule D) and the acceptance of their application by a GM, a person shall be deemed a financial member of the Club. ...
(d) A person shall remain a member until such a time as they cease to eligible for membership under this constitution or a resolution terminating their membership is passed by a majority of the Club in a GM. ... Termination of Membership
A persons membership may be terminated by a resolution of the Club in a GM, provided that:
(a) No less than fourteen (14) days notice of intention to move sucha motion is given. ... Executive (Operation)
(a) The Club shall have an Executive consisting of nine (9) ordinary members and a Women’s Officer.
(b) The Executive shall be elected by proportional representation from the club members.
(c) The Women’s Officer shall be elected by and from the women members of the Club. ...
(f) Unless stipulated otherwise, the Executive shall hold office from their election until the declaration of the ballot at the following Annual General Meeting provided that any member of the Executive may be dismissed from office by a general meeting of the Club.
(g) An Office Bearer or Member of the Executive may be dismissed from office by resolution of the Club in General Meeting, provided that:
[i] No less than fourteen (14) days notice of intention to move such a motion is given. ...
(h) A person who has ceased to be eligible for membership of the Club or has become unfinancial as per section 3 of this constitution or who fails to satisfy the requirement of section 5 (d) shall be disqualified from continuing as a member of the Executive.
