The hijackers during 9/11 obviously were motivated by a sense of a higher power and a desire for justice. For their actions they are considered martyrs by their religion and were praised for their sacrifices. Their religion encourages this behavior by placing those who die for their religion on a pedestal above the rest. Also the hijackers believed the US has harmed them in some way and infringes upon their life. This attack was a way of delivering justice to those who have wronged them. They are fighting to preserve their way of life and standing up for their beliefs The members of the Shiloh Baptist Church showed human characteristics such as a sense of a higher power, need for social relationships, and a sense of morality.
