Analysis of Fight Club
The story is narrated by Edward Norton, who co-stars with Brad Pitt. The movie begins with the final scene, which shows the viewer how someone without any control can downward spiral into trouble. He then proceeds to tell us how this came to be. He is seemingly an ordinary person until he realizes that he has become a prisoner to his everyday routine lifestyle. He realizes that he must let go of the material things and reject the values and cultural norms he faces. He must be completely free from everything before he can truly find out who he is as a person. He simplifies his life by blowing up his condo and getting fired from his job.
