Wilson writes about homosexual marriage, and the effect it has on the American people. He uses the work of Andrew Sullivan, an editor and homosexual himself. Sullivan believes that "all public discrimination against homosexuals be ended . ... " Its amazing to me that he doesnt believe unrecognized homosexual marriage is a form of public discrimination, expecially because he is himself a homosexual. I believe that by not recognizing homosexual marriages we are telling the youth of America that it is okay to discriminate against the minority. It seems to be contradiction in the eyes of children; they are taught that all Americans are equal, but then they are not all allowed the same rights. ... However, I do not believe that same sex marriages are any different than heterosexual marriages. Wilson tries to give "valid" reasoning for his belief of allowing only heterosexual marriages. ... Find a way of formulating a policy with respect to homosexual unions that is not the result of a reflexive act of judicial rights-conferring, but is instead a considered expression of the moral convictions of a people.
