Cloning
Scientists that describe many different processes that involve making duplicates of biological material use the term cloning. When people think of cloning they are usually only thinking of one type called reproductive cloning. There are different types of cloning however, and cloning can be used for other purposes besides producing the genetic twin of another organism. The three (3) types of cloning are recombinant DNA cloning, therapeutic cloning, and reproductive cloning. In this essay my main focus is going to be on reproductive cloning.
Reproductive cloning is a technology used to generate an animal that has the same nuclear DNA as another currently or previously existing animals. An example of this would be Dolly the sheep who was created by reproductive cloning technology. ... In using this type of cloning the animal created is not truly an identical clone of the donor animal. ...
In reproductive cloning there are many ethical concerns.
