Americans lead unhealthy life styles as a consequence of economic devolvement. The habits of Americans have been corrupted by technology, which was originally designed to make daily life easier, but instead it has become harmful. The “adbuster” magazine is dedicated to reevaluating the paradigms of current society. Advertisements range from mockery to poignant severity. ’ “mindbodyspirit” ’ is an advertisement that falls into the latter category, demonstrating the unhealthy lives of Americans. This “adbuster” consists of a boy, a young man I suppose, going about his regular , daily routine. He eats McDonald’s, probably the number two value meal, the cheeseburger, fries, and a coke, fulfilling his addictions for convenient, fatty, fast food. As Americans, we acquire taste for unhealthy food: fat makes food taste better along with condiments, preservatives, and artificial flavoring. With a Marlboro red cigarette hanging from his zombie lips, unlit, to satisfy just another habit that America will easily supply you with the answer. He carries the look of midday sleepiness, and boredom.
