Odyssey is a Greek word that means “the tale of Odysseus.” The Odyssey is one of two epic poems written more then 2, 500 years ago by a western European poet named Homer. Throughout the Odyssey Homer displays many changes taking place among the main characters, one of these characters being the son of Odysseus. ... The three main themes are: The wanderings of Odysseus, the quest of Telemachus, and the return and vengeance. ...
