These instructions below are for PC’s assembled using an ATX desktop case. If you are using another tower or desktop case, please revise its instructions for additional details not listed here. HARDWARE REQUIERED: CPU, Motherboard, RAM memory, Hard Drive, CD-Rom, Floppy Drive, Video Card, Sound Card, Modem, and Desktop Case. NOTE: There’s a variety of Hardware in the market nowadays, you will decide how much to spend and what peripherals you want in your PC. Make sure any additional components (IDE cables, screws) come with purchased hardware. TOOLS NEEDED: Star blade screwdriver 1. Prepare the Case Remove case cover by removing the screws located on the rear of the case. Then remove the main cover from the case so that you will have access to the inside. Now remove the various extra parts from the case such as the extra screw packets (if any), power cable, etc. *The power supply is included and installed with case 2. Install CPU and RAM on Motherboard • CPU: Locate the Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) socket on the motherboard. This is where the CPU will be installed (Refer to the motherboard manual for further directions on using the ZIF and CPU fan). Once the ZIF is unlocked, place the CPU in all the holes and lock the ZIF again. Take off the plastic cover from the bottom of the CPU fan that covers the heat transfer pad.
