Fear It was a sunny day in the middle of the summer. I had been nagging my dad for weeks about a car that I wanted so badly. It was a silver, 2001 Dodge Durango. I drove by the car lot everyday just hoping that it hadn’t sold yet. Finally, my dad gave in and took me to the lot to make an offer on the car. On the way over, I couldn’t sit still in my seat. I was too excited. When we arrived, my jaw dropped to the floor. My Durango was nowhere to be found! One of the sales associates came up to us immediately to ask what we were looking for. Right as I began to describe the car of my dreams, I saw it out of the corner of my eye. My dad and I went inside to the sales office to make an offer on the car. At first they didn’t accept, but when they saw that my dad was ready to get up and leave, they quickly changed their minds. The car was sold, to me! I drove off the lot with music blaring. I wasn’t going to lie; I wanted to show it off. Just as I pulled in the driveway, my friend Chez called me on my cell phone. He was calling to see if I wanted to shoot some hoops with him and a couple of other buddies. I told him I would. I was a little tired, but I thought this would give me a chance to show off my new set of wheels.
