For years I have always thought of myself as having excellent study skills, until I actually thought about it. The study habits I had before were excellent for the junior high, high school level because the reading wasn’t as extensive as it is now in college. I thought the transition would be difficult for me, but in reality it was actually easy. I consider myself very different from others I have to force myself to study the right way, or else the studying won’t get done. I have come to learn that daylight is the most effective lighting for me, I usually do all my reading during the day. If I don’t get finished with all of my reading in time I read at my desk with some type of light going over my shoulders. Lighting is usually not a problem for me, because I am always in a room that is well lit. In my view of things location and noise both tie together especially for me, because my roommate is a very annoying person, so I very rarely study in my dorm room, most of the time I’ll usually be in the library or a study room in South Russell. I am the type of person to where it has to be total complete silence or I will get distracted very easily.
