American Revolutionary War There are many events that lead up to the Revolutionary War. In this paper you will find many of the events that happened during the war. Also you will find how the war started and what ended the war. A man named Paul Revere warns that the British are coming in 1775. The British planned a surprise attack on Lexington; a storage place for colonial arms. Paul Revere overheard these British plans. On April 18th, Revere rode out in the middle of the night to warn the colonial militia of the approaching British. Another event is: British Battle Militia in Lexington and Concord-1775 Forewarned by Paul Revere, American militiamen fought 800 British on April 18, 1775. The battle broke out at concord. Seventy-three British soldiers were killed and over 200 wounded. The Americans lost 49 soldiers and suffered 39 wounded. This marked the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Next comes the Battle at Bunker Hill-1775 The Americans occupied Bunker Hill overlooking Boston on the evening of June 16th. The British, commanded by General Gage, had no choice but to attack the Americans.
