“In the Arms Of Strangers” When the title of the film was introduced, I immediately assumed that it would be about the concentration camp prisoners under the control of the nazi soldiers. However, it was like no other Holocaust documentary I have ever seen. It was a side of the era that I had never seen before as these people would reflect back on to when they were separated from their families to live with a new one in a whole new country. What these people remember of their childhood before being sent away made me appreciate so much about my childhood. These people would remember the random times they spent with their parents. For example, a woman reflects back to when she wanted an outfit that was quite expensive, but her father bought it for her anyways. These people saw the love of their parents through little acts like that. I think about my relationship with my parents and I realized that I take them for granted. They always try to give me the best and want me to be successful in the future.
