Medical Assisting is a very hands on job. You assist the Doctor in their day-to-day duties. For example you would escort the patient into the room and would continue to ask them a series of questions about their condition. This would take the doctor a long time to do if they had to ask questions and then perform their procedures. This job is in high demand for more assistants because not very many people are not interested in this job or don’t have the confidence to believe that they can do this job. The training required to become a medical assistant is a minimum of a high school diploma and a option of a one-year class at an occupational center. For example a one-year class at CCOC. With a half a year externship at a doctor’s office. Where you learn how to do medical procedures like how to give shots. If you don’t want to spend you’re high school years learning to have a very high paying job. Then after high school you could go to a community collage such as Mission Collage and do the health occupation program. At Mission Collage if you cant afford the class you can apply for financial aide if you meet these requirements each year. “To be eligible you, or one of your parents if you are a dependent, must meet the following income standards: Add $4,530 for each additional member.” Says Mission.
