Introduction: For this lab investigation, it will be necessary to determine the different factors that affect the equilibrium of a reaction. All of these factors will help a company determine a perfect color for fake blood which will be used in a movie. The different aspects that need to be tested to change the equilibrium are adding substances to the reaction, cooling or heating the reaction, to learn the patterns taking place in the equilibrium system, and to learn the different chemistry that is involved in this experiment. The primary reaction that is going to be used to determine the best color for the blood goes as follows: Fe3+(aq) + NCS-(aq)„²„³ FeNCS2+(aq) This reaction is going to hold the basis for all the changes that will occur in the equilibrium system.
