To be a senator was a great opportunity for Sandra, but to be a Supreme Court Justice was a chance of a lifetime. This chance of a lifetime happened when Ronald Reagan nominated her to the US Supreme Court on July 7, 1981 for retiring Justice Potter Stewart (Hogg). Justice O’Connor has now served on the Supreme Court for over twenty one years and secured a place in history as an able and interesting justice. While reading about Justice O’Connor I was very impressed that she is not influenced easily.
