The Muazzin calls us "Haiya alas Salah, Haiya alal Falah" meaning
"Come to Salah, Come to Success" and what are most of us doing? ... "
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) has said, "If they (people) only knew what
blessings lie in the Fajr and Isha prayers they would come to them (for
congregation) even if they had to crawl (for it)" [Bukhari, Muslim]
Look at the importance: even if they had to "c r a w l". ... This is whom Islam calls ""A LOSER"". ... Working,
seeking knowledge, earning honestly are greatly encouraged in Islam. ... Salah is not just worship it is also a compulsory
duty. ...
Furthermore:
* Salah wipes out sins.
* Salah, if offered properly with concentration, is better than yoga.
* To pray five times daily in congregation, Salah aims at creating a sense of
familiarity & friendship among people.
* Having same movements which are coordinated by the Imam, Salah aims at
developing a sense of unity among people.
* As a businessman stands shoulder to shoulder to a laborer, a white stands
shoulder to shoulder to a black, Salah crosses out man-made classes and
racism.
Islam is a way of life. ... All you have to do is to
obey Allah because Islam means "submission of will to Allah".
