Question two: Why did groups like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones have such an impact during the 1960s? ... They also had a big impact on teenagers because thousands of girls loved them and would just scream and have banners saying I love you and they were the first boy band that boys really liked and would Have no shame in buying and listening to their albums.
The Beatles also had a big impact on other band after them like the Mersey Beats, Gerry and the Pace makers, the Animals and the Rolling Stones. ... Even though these groups after the Beatles got a few number ones they still didn’t have a big an impact the Beatles and the Stones had because they are still going today.
Some of society mainly the older generation in the 60s saw the Beatles and the Stones as enemies to society because they wrote songs which promoted sex and taking drugs and this was a problem because they had thousands of teenagers who looked up to them and thought they were cool and if they knew and saw the Beatles taking drugs they would think its cool and start taking drugs at that’s why the older generation thought they where effecting society.
