This show has been done the way a revival should be done. It's clear that the production team has a great deal of respect and appreciation for the original show, and they've taken great pains to protect all the things that made "Kiss me Kate" memorable. In this paper I will discuss my thoughts on the play, my observation on the setting, the reaction of the audience as well as mine, and the songs that were sung. Kiss me Kate was a play that I was hesitant to see. I thought it could never be as good as the one played by professionals; and especially because it was being acted out by students. I've always seen too many revivals of classic musicals that have either been poorly staged, badly acted, or given a politically correct review that removed whatever spark of fun or interest that was laid in the original. I went to see the play with my friends. When I asked them to come see the play with me they thought I was joking. They asked if I am going to see the play for a class, and I told them yes. When I told then that was not the only reason I was going to see the play they were shocked.
