One of the oldest surviving religions, Judaism, had about 14.1 million followers in the late 1990s. Jews, followers of Judaism, have been tortured, killed and left homeless throughout the history of mankind and have never come to a point of complete peace. Jews have suffered the most and for the longest time in history, their story is not a story but a horrific tale about suffering, anguish and pain. They were tortured by the pharaohs of Egypt, conquered and thrown out by the Romans, thrown out by every empire they went into for over a thousand years, about six million killed by Hitler, fought with the Arabs to gain their land back, and are still fighting till today. Judaism originated in modern day Israel and Palestine. There are three people responsible for Judaism’s beginnings; they are also referred to as fathers of Judaism.
