In the short story “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the narrator and her husband move to a colonial mansion in order to help the narrator get better. She moves upstairs in this terrible room with yellow wallpaper. ... Everyone deals with their personal problems differently and “The Yellow Wallpaper” is a perfect example because there are many different problems faced throughout the story. ... There are many different problems that can be found in “The Yellow Wallpaper. ... Before she new it, she “had peeled off yards of that paper” (204). ... When she does, she states “I’ve got out at last”, she then tells John “I’ve pulled off most of the paper, and so you can’t put me back” (206).
