johndoe Immagen hearing about a land where everyone is rich and where there isn’t any hard work.. That’s what my Grandpa and his family thought when they heard about immigrating to the U.S. The truth about America at the time wasn’t as bright and amazing as it seemed but it was sure a better life the Italy. Many immigrants came in the 1920’s and 1930’s my Grandpa was one of them. Life was getting tough in Italy not a lot of work to find and with people talking about how amazing America was, it seemed like a good choice to make. My Grandpa was 7 years old when the talks of his family immigrating to America first started to pop up in conversation. During those talks things would be said about America that wernt ture, like how life was easy and you just pulled in money doing barley and physical work. After 3 years of rough times, his family decided to make the change.
