... From those who we highly acknowledge as great artists are Leonardo Da Vinci and Raffaello Sanzio ( Raphael ). Both have contributed greatly to the art scene at the time, both of them had opposing personalities Leonardo the Innovator and Raphael the non-innovator. However I clearly noticed how Raphael was influeced to a huge degree over the span of his short-lived life by the works of Leonardo.
1478 , That desicive year when Leonardo separated from being Verrocchios assistant and became an Independent Master. ... At that time he received his first commission, to paint an Altarpiece for the chapel of the Palazzo Vecchio, later on in 1480 Leonardo received a commission to paint the main altarpiece of the monastery of San Donato a Scopeto, near Florence.
