Haircut is a short story that describes the atmosphere and events of a little town through the perspective of a local barber. When the story begins the reader would assume that the story would be about the barbershop itself, but as the reader continues to read the story is focused on the tragedy of a local man named Jim Kendall. The narrator is actually having a conversation with customer who isn’t familiar with the town, while reciving his cut the customer gets a basic idea of the events hat happen throughout the town. Jim Kendall, the main character of the story, is described to be a person who is always out to turn anything into a joke.
