[In reply to the lawyer’s sarcastic remark about the ‘convenience’ of his whereabouts] “On the contrary sir. As I am innocent I find it considerably INconvenient.” (Hope) (Shows Andy’s Character) - Plays opera over loudspeaker and is prepared to spend 2 weeks in ‘the hole’ – comes out ok. (Hope) “I’d like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, no words could express it” “Hope- its something they cant get at, they can’t take away from you” - Continuously writes letters to get funds- though nothing appears to happen, he is determined and eventually they send him lots of books and records.
