Othello and Romeo are alike in many ways. ... Othello hears the news that his wife, Desdemona, is cheating on him with Cassio through Iago. When Othello hears this he is enraged and by the end of he story he has been convinced enough by action that Iago has taken in planting items on people to act as if Desdemona really is cheating, that he decides he must kill her. ... After this happens Othello learns the truth about Iago and his stories. Iago is an instigator, and hates Othello, and will do anything to initiate his downfall.
