Body Piercing: Is it for me?
Body piercing has recently become very popular. When I got my ears pierced years ago and no, I will not say how many, that was pretty much all that people were piercing. In the last ten or fifteen years however, people have started to express themselves with piercing just about anything they can get a needle through and not bleed to death. Deciding if it is the right thing for you should involve these issues, is the equipment sterile, is the person doing the piercing competent, and what do you have pierced. ... Infection in your new piercing will not only be quite painful but could even be disfiguring with scar tissue. ... You would not use a doctor if his office was dirty so, why trust something as important as having a piercing done in a dirty studio. ... Think of a piercing as a surgical procedure.
