There are many treatment needs that must be addressed in an attempt to provide effective treatment. According to Treating Teens, among the elements that are crucial to effective treatment is the need ensure that the program addresses the specific needs of teens which may include learning disabilities, family dysfunction, physical health concerns and mental health problems. (Johnson, 2003) The program needs to be developmentally appropriate for the social, emotional, and physical stages that adolescents are at-stages that are in constant transformation.
The staff at the center would have to fill a list of pre-requisites in order to be suited for the treatment of this population. The program would require qualified staff that has varied training and experience as well varied cultural competence and background. ...
