I think that in order to be successfull you have to work very hard, and you may need some luck. Pure hard work can get you nowhere if you don't have any luck. But I don't think you can be successfull just by luck and doing nothing. Of course, you can win the lottery, but I don't think you could call success what you get by that. What is important here is to define success. Success is made not only by lots of money, power, goods. Success has to do with reaching what one has established as an end. Succes has to do with growing and enriching oneself.
