Drama Review Woman In Black
I have recently been to see “The Woman In Black” a ghostly book by Susan Hills that was adapted into a play by Stephen Malatratt and has been running for 13 years. ... I came in laughing and went out almost crying not because of the horror but due to the feeling towards Mr Kips and the tragic life The Woman In Black had experienced. ... At the back was a staircase used only briefly , but it was really effective, it
only became visible when lit,and showed the Woman In Black gliding up and across towards the green light. ... The sound of the rocking of the chair was like a strong heartbeat,it made me think that the sound of the chair was like the angry heart beat of the ghostly Woman in Black .the second time the rocking was heard made me think that there was a symbolic connection between the audiences reaction, their mounting excitement and The Woman In Black’s heartbeat.
