The foreign policy that the Australian government has decided to adopt is focused primarily on human rights and sustainable development. ... Other nations in the world that Australia desires to be in trade capacity with are the Unites States, Japan, China, and Indonesia. Ultimately Australia would like to maintain its level of aid given at the highest it can achieve. (Australia Now p.1-2) One of the strongest aspects of Australia’s government is the fact that it has remained throughout history as having a strong commitment to democratic values. Along with this aspect Australia’s economy can be considered technologically advanced, very diverse, and potentially very prosperous. Australia is also taking into consideration the possibility of having trade at bilateral, multilateral, and regional levels with a “particular emphasis on the promotion of trade and investment liberalism in forums like the World Trade Organization and APEC.
